2014 Ram front diff swap questions

First of all, sorry if this has been asked already. Ive looked everywhere and could not find the answer to my question.

So I have a 2014 1500 4X4, im doing a gear swap from 3:55 to 4:10. I already have a 2010 front diff to go in, and purchased the different front shaft as well as the different mount that is needed. I need to know if my CV axles from the 2014 will work with the 2010 front diff or will I need the other front CV axles. They are listed as different part numbers but im not sure which end of the axle is different.

The rear is straightforward enough

Any help would be appreciated or any other advice with the swap wont be discouraged.

2014 CV axles will work with 2010 front diff........best to replace 2010 with new stub shafts if you haven't already.

appreciate it, thanks. the 2010 diff only has 40xxx km on it, the stubs are still all tight and not really worn. Any other reason to replace them? I was under the impression that these diffs really didnt have the stub shaft issues like the newer ones do.

No other reason....you can change both axles on the older front, newer ZF can only change out 1-side so if the side that can't be changed is worn you have to replace complete differential.

4.10 ? do 4.56 if your into it this deep.

Put in new stubs shaft with new CVs. They are dirt cheap.

Plenty of threads on this. get the complete Motive gear swap kit. You need the shims for the front diff and dodge dosent sell them anymore.

Yeah, go with the 4.56s if you have 35" tires .... if you don't then the 4.10s will be fine ....
