2014 ST1500 Headlight upgrades

I have stock headlights. I've been doing some quick research and watching install videos on HID conversions and all the videos are of "projector" or seemingly way better looking headlight assemblies..

With my stock headlights do I need to buy a new assembly or just get the hid bulbs and proper new wiring additions?

Also what are yalls suggestions to HL upgrades? Heard the HID can be a bad investment in time and money but the right ones just look so damn good.

If your gonna buy an HID Kit, get it from www.retroshop.us . It will 100% Work with our trucks. If you buy a cheap ebay or Amazon kit, you will have a ton of problems and it will never work properly.

Also, you have reflector housing headlights, you want Projector housings for hids. Please do not put Hids into reflector housing headlights. You will blind other drivers and it's illegal.
