I have a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Bighorn and it will not start. The battery is 100% - the headlights and inside lights work - the key fob will unlock and lock doors but panic button doesn’t work. It does nothing when turned over. We have checked all fuses - reseated fuse box and all cables - replaced switch(no difference so put original switch back on)- tried to start it in neutral - put positive and negative battery cables together. Anything else we should try before having it towed to shop.

Can you hear the fuel pump turn on when attempting to start?
Curious how you put the truck in neutral?(I'm guessing this is an 8 speed and there's no way to turn the knob without the truck running).

Are you saying when you push the button the starter will engage and the engine will turn over but not start?

Or are you saying when you push the button the starter does not engage and the engine does not turn over?

there is a thing you can pull under the dash that will put it in neutral. No you cannot hear anything when you turn it over.

no cranks with the keyfob, or it use to
I would try to manually engage the starter just to make sure the bendix and the starter motor is still operational. If the starter spins the engine over while "jumping" across the terminals then you know that the starter is not the issue and you need to look elsewhere.

I haven't looked for it on the gas engined truck, but the eco diesel has a starter relay in the under hood power distribution (fuse) block.
Find your starting relay, unplug it and look for voltage to the coil contact with the ket turned to start.
Also voltage to the common contact and see if the relay is bad or not being activated. Or just jumper it out and see if it starts.

When you press the Panic or lock unlock buttons on the FOB as you stand outside of the truck, does it sound the Alarm or work the door locks ?

Watch this video, it explains it much better

I tried the jumper wire and the starter didn’t make any sound. I’m guessing that means the starter is bad.
