2015 Tradesman Overhead Console

I was looking at a 2015 2500 single-cab Tradesman 4x4 and noticed that there is no overhead console, unlike the 2500 CrewCab Tradesman that has lights like the picture below.



I wonder how hard it would be to put a console in after the fact so if I bought a single-cab I could have that extra lighting up front?

Another question: I wonder where the power-window switch is located on a single-cab Trademan truck ?

you can only get that overhead console on the SLT package but it comes standard. its where they put the microphone for the voice commands with the 8.4 screen and it has a "map light" that always shines when youre headlights are on, in addition to the two main lights...you can only get fog lights on the SLT model as well fyi

and single cab trucks dont have a power window switch for the slider its manual only lol.

Yeah not sure how much of a pain it would be but it depends on your own skill i guess. I couldnt mess with wiring..hell id cringe cutting the hole in the ceiling lol

That wouldnt be a big deal putting that in there at all, the hole or the wiring. Easy-Peasy.

So theoretically you could wire up a motor and add your sliding window too..that would be cool

I forgot about all the oem mods that people have done on their 1500 express to upgrade it. There are many threads on here about that stuff. Most of them can be easily done if you have the money too..look into it you may be much better off buying a tradesman basic and add the creature conforts you want.

I'm sure you would need a sales code flashed and I'm not sure it would be one that Chrysler would allow a dealer to flash. You would definitely want to do some research before you spent any money.
