About two months ago, I noticed what looked like oil had spilled or sprayed by the oil fill cap. It did not look wet, more like dried, caked on oil on the engine. I could not find a leak and cleaned it up. Yesterday (10/24/22), I discovered the same thing but now, with fresh-looking oil in the crevice of what I believe is the timing belt cover. See Picts below. Why is this happening?

The EcoDiesel engine uses timing chains not a belt so there is oil being splashed under that cover. If I remember correctly it's about 4 hours book rate to R&R the left or right cover. There's also a lower cover also.

Other than having a small dirty part on my engine, do you think its dangerous for it if I drive it 3,000 miles pulling a trailer? I leave on a road trip in a week?
