2017 alignmemt

Picked up my 2017 1500 limited last spring after many years with Ford and GM. Has been great so far, except for mileage, and whoever decided to put white runningboards on a truck needs to go back to design school. I swapped out to winter tires here in western Wisconsin and noticed the performance was a little subpar. Both on the interstate in the dry, and trying to stop around my town and neighborhood. It’s a kid hauler , so I put some sand in the back and deflated the tires about 5 to 10%.

I’m wondering if I should have the alignment done. The truck is only a-year-old but looks like it saw hard use up in Canada. Bought form Lenz in Fond du Lac.

Am I wasting my time here or do you think the combination of use, abuse, and new tires could’ve pushed it out of spec ? It’s not unheard of for a vehicle to come from the factory slightly out of spec, as was the case on a German car I had about 10 years ago. Thanks.

I would only consider getting an alignment if it's pulling left or right, or if you notice your tires wearing badly or unevenly.

I guess I'm on the other side of the coin. If you don't have any real background on the truck and you think it has been used hard, I think that it would be money well spend, just for the peace of mind. Sort of like, " An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" type of thing.

I do one once a year. I’m on rough roads and dirt roads a lot. Just cheap insurance on tires imo

Thinking about trading the truck in 2019 as the new ones look so awesome. ...It’s about due for a tire rotation, maybe I’ll have it checked then. Also would like to drive on some new fallen snow see if I notice anything in the tread
