Really like the color matched lights in the hood. I’ve been looking at an orange set for mine on eBay. Mind me asking where you got those?

Thank you...

I did them myself. I bought blue LED's for the top and bottom rows and white LED's for the center row. Wired all the blues together and went to a switch. Then wired all the whites together and went to a switch. So that when I am driving, I have the whtie ones on. Once I park, I throw the blues one done.

I believe the LED's were 5MM. Just popped out the vents and went crazy on the drilling. Once everything was drilled and wired up, I put a ton of black silicone behind them. Two reason, one for waterproof and the other to hold them in place.

It wasn't really that hard.

Your truck is still one of my fav machines Mr. Noid! But....sorta thinking blacked out shorty antenna, how bout you? (Just an idea) Granted, none of the shorty antenna's (in my limited experience) get the same radio reception as the OEM full length unit,..but I run the iPod Touch and program my own tunes anyway so it's a non issue.

Keep it clean Mr. Noid!

Ok thanks I was just wondering if there was more options than what I’d found. I’ve seen a few write ups of people making there own and that could be an option as well. I have been contemplating getting a set and tiring them into the running lights and blinkers. That way they come in automatically with the lights but also function as a blinker. Kinda reminiscent of the fender/hood mounted turn signals on the muscle cars.

Thank you very much.

I had a black stubby one and the reception was HORRIBLE! I went back to the OEM because it is tuned for the radio. My Sirius 1 year was over so every once in awhile I like to listen to FM.

I might just paint the OEM antenna black and live with it for that for a bit...

Yeah I found that company as well but I didn't fell like spending alike 300 bucks or so for them. Having them as blinkers are cool but didn't fell like spending the money. I can always tap into those wires later using a relay if I care to.

It just took like a few hours to do this myself with like 18 bucks for allt he LEDs and like 30 bucks for the switches. I have fuse holders and wire already...

I hear ya. Yep...I went the "The Stubby" route too. Loved the low ride look. Reception was nonextant though. Back to the OEM, then I tried a Antenna X 13" inch and it's a lot better then the stubby but still not OEM. I kept it because of my Ipod use and the fact the OEM one gets in the way of winter windscreen clearing of snow and ice.
