I haven’t had much time to mess with anything. Still waiting on the mounting screws and letters from Allmoparparts. The letters were backprdered a week.

But as posted I will have to modify the spacer to fit the 13-18 grille. I did order a 2019 style for 4th gens off eBay yesterday. so I can see if that will work with the spacer and of the grilles off eBay are actually the same as factory. Cause the spacer should fit on if that is the case.

Wish the were available for my 17/18 limited eBay grill when I did mine. Looks like they work well with little to no modification (even without plastic welding them on). Adding to my post.fcdd7b62c02c7e62f9f6d6dea8dc33b1.jpg

M² Mods.

I think I might get them to give them a try on the 18 grill I have.

Most of you guys painting these? Seems like most have black trucks so it basically matches. Looking to buy one for my 17 max steel but only will buy if I can paint match it. Have some brand new flares that have been sitting in my garage for 6 months figure I might as well paint it all at once. So need to decide on a grill. Torn between the 18 or 19 style and want paint matched letters with the paint matched grill.

I didn't paint the grille. It's not an exact match but close enough for a brilliant black truck.

So has anyone transfered over the panels that are on the back of the factory grille? I just ordered the sport grille and would like to know if it's possible. Thanks in advance

You mean the air guides/deflectors?

Not that I'm aware of. I thought about it but decided not to pursue it since they snap onto the OEM grill surround and would likely need to be plastic welded onto the aftermarket grill somehow.

Yup those are the panels I''m talking about. Thanks, sorta what I was thinking. I suppose as long as it doesn't hurt anything them not being there I can live with it.

So far my letters are on there rock solid with the 3M tape I linked in the first post. I just got showing a guy at work the grille (how flimsy the aftermarket is to the stocker). Yet looks pretty good. I even mentioned how well the letters have stuck on still. Which then made me think about coming on the forum as I forgot how to get a key fob programmed. I still only have 1 key for my truck. When I jumped on the forum I had like 15 notifications for this thread lol.

Grille off eBay —> https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/132863850432

RAM letters off eBay —> https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/283317276636

3M Tape to hold letters on —> 3M 03609 Scotch-Mount 1/2" x 5' Molding Tape https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BO913C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_afaLCbCSBP5X5

Fit isn’t to bad. The whole grille could be 1/8” taller as it felt like it stretched pretty good to push the guides in to the bumper and the mounts for the bolts on top. I did have to remove the factory air diverter, or at least it seemed that way for the grille to push in all the way. Kinda dark out, so tomorrow I’ll be able to judge it better. So far I am liking it. It doesn’t come with RAM letters. eBay link above to the ones I used. Kind of a pain to 3M tape each individual letter on and get them straight and spaced decently. A little bit of tape is showing that I’ll try to trim back when I get a chance. Here’s some pics for now.

On eBay I was able to find 3 white leds with smoked cover. For some reason they are wired backwards, so once I reversed wired and made the POS the neg and neg to fuse they worked fine and fit like ones that came with grill. I have been looking for these since I bought the grill, price was around $13 for all 3. Think it looks better than the amber. Trucks dirty, took pic right after I installed them earlier today. Using Oedro leds in the oem fog lights and leds in the headlights.
