Not sure who the guys on PWR are, but the Pedal Commander definitely makes driving my truck more fun!
I'll give Tow/Haul a try today. I have to go down the hill, so I can get about 40 miles with it.

Hit me up if you make it here!
We bought tickets to go to Idaho at the end of July back before the ridiculous travel restrictions.
I'm considering cancelling the flights and spending the money on lead honestly.......
I would like to be in Idaho when I turn 50 at the end of July though. Nothing says Happy Birthday like a day in the woods with several firearms!

It would be cool to see parts of Maui that I haven't before. Things are slim though and its a bit of a bummer as we were to celebrate my wife's 50th over there. I hear you on lead!

PWR = powerwagonregistry.org

Most members on there are more of the 'actually use their PW off-road' than on here from what I've gathered over the years. I pop in to this forum for interior/AlfaOBD enabled mods mostly.

You guys were right about Tow / Haul.
My truck is WAY more aggressive in Tow / Haul.
I never thought of using it for driving up hill or around town. I had only used it going down steep hills to help save my brakes by taking advantage of the downshifting when applying the brakes.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes, the tow/haul button automatically downshifts when slowing down, and is more apt to downshift sooner when needed as well as hold the gear longer. Also, locks out 6th gear and MDS.

Interesting. I didn't know that it locked out 6th gear.

Now that we helped you, can you please talk to your governor and tell him to open the state up. :D
I'm afraid that if I talked to that idiot, it would be with my size 13 boot in his ass.....He's got to be in the top 10 most inept governors in our country.
I don't think he has a plan to reopen the state, unfortunately. I think he's holding out for that big federal check.

They are meeting next week to discuss moving the June 30 quarantine lift for Mainland flights to the end of July.
I think I'm going to cash my plane tickets in and invest in lead......

There are definitely many anti-self defense laws in Hawaii..,...

we took most of our guns to a free state, but kept a few here.
With everything that is going on in the country, we bought a few more recently and filled up the safe again

most guns are legal here but they have to be registered...........
The state has proposed numerous new laws that are severely restricting but thanks to the virus, the state gov has been in recess for months
Hopefully this isn’t against forum policy, if it is, I apologize

Yup, makes a big difference, especially with 35+ in tires, a pedal commander will also help a great deal with lost throttle response due to the extra weight of larger/heavier tires/rims...

The 4x4 "Specialists" never got back to me about re-gearing......

Yesterday, I had the truck at the dealer to get a new/3rd/spare key programmed.
I ran into an old friend at the dealer. He owns a huge custom auto shop.
He's willing to trade some electrical work (I'm an electrician) for the gear install if I buy the parts.

Looks like I'm getting some 5:13 gears really soon!

Well after reading this thread I’m definitely going to look into swapping from stock to 5.13 gears. Got my truck leveled with 35’s and Pedal Commander (which I absolutely love)

ProCharger is coming out with a kit this summer for the 19+ power wagons 130hp increase.
Too bad I have a 2018.....I feel like I should have held out and found a 19. The 8 speed transmission on one of our work trucks is really nice and smooth! I hate the dial shifter though.....

Just spoke with 2 shops today about gears. Both said don’t do 5.13 if towing heavy. Due to small pinion. They said 4.88 is close and is a bit “larger” pinion that would be less likely to fail.
