I now have the third battery on my 2011 1500 Sport. I guess some of the failures could just be the battery is crappy, but one thing to remember is that the number of times you start your truck has a lot to do with battery life.

Just had my 2017 battery replaced under warranty. I had just bought a cheap ($30) battery analyzer off ebay since Im always helping the kids and grandson with their cars. It checks initial volts, cranking voltage ( should go no lower than 9.6v at freezing temp when starting) and it checks charging volts. Well my truck was starting ok but I figured I'd check how the meter worked. It was a 60 deg day (rare here for January) I hooked it up and the battery was at 12.1v usually a good battery is at 12.6 ish. So I did a starting test and it dropped to 9.65v. The next day temp was in the 30's. Initial volts was 11.6v and cranking was at 8.9v which is bad. Took it to the dealer & they verified it was bad and replaced it under warranty. Bottom line is the cheap analyzer paid for itself because I have 31000 miles so the 3/36 is almost up.

2012 Sport, and just lost my factory battery last month ... Lol ... Amazing ... I got 70k out of the factory brakes .... This truck is a freak !!!!

I also had a 2012 that I bought new and traded-in last year with the original battery that showed no signs of failing. It wasn't even a daily-driver.
Just a month ago, my 2019's battery needed a jump after I left it sitting when I went away for 2 weeks!

My 13 is still running it's original battery. Mind you...I am keeping a close eye on the volt gauge lately. I'm secretly looking forward to dropping an optima yellow top in there though.

My wife's 2016 Hyundai accent needed a new battery the first year she owned it.

At least they replaced mine with a good Mopar battery under warranty.

My 14 is still going strong with 94K on the clock.
Ya I think they are hit or miss. 2012 98k on mine. Original battery... knock on wood.

Down at the beach today (Corona Free Zone for family) and got in to leave, dead battery out of the blue. Jumped from guy parked nearby, 1 hour drive home, cranked 10 mins after unloading, then can't crank again after parking it in garage, just 34k miles.
Need to have the truck running and thinking I'll eat the cost on a Saturday afternoon vs running through warranty.
So sudden, gotta be bad battery. No clues of slow crank or other before the insta-death.

Still on my original battery, 2015 with 263,000km. Lots of cold morning starts at -30°C to -40°C in that time, always parked outside.

Luck of the draw I guess.

I am wondering if my battery is going bad on my 2018 Ramp Sport with 36900 miles. The computer has been doing strange things lately, like rebooting while driving or the radio staying on after I shut off the inanition and opening my door. Also when I use passive entry in the mornings my headlights come on until I get in and star the truck. Well I notice that the headlights are "flickering" as the engine cranks.

Is this the signs of a failing battery, or do I have larger issues?
