Trying to figure out what size Drop hitch I will need. So could someone tell me the distance from the bottom of the receiver hitch tube to the ground? That would give me a start on a drop hitch.
Will be picking up the new 22 Ram DRW. Then towing our Nissan Murano home on a tow dolly. So will need to know in advance on the drop hitch. If not for needing it for this. Would wait until we were home and find the right one. May have to just buy a longer hitch then needed. Then chop off the bottom part that may not be needed.

Thanks in advance
Pete

I run a Weigh-Safe drop hitch on mine. 10inch drop.

21 inches to the bottom opening of the hitch from the ground.

I learned from one of the better videos when choosing a drop hitch, you should have at least 11 inches from the bottom of the lowest part of the shank to the ground depending on the height of the truck.

If you can just buy a good adjustable hitch. They can be pricey tho. That’s what I ended up doing. Trailers tongue heights can very from trailer to trailer.

B&W Model 8 adjustable has been perfect for all towing situations with the 5 ball hitch trailers I have towed from dumps to flatbeds to enclosed.
Make sure you get the proper size shank size for your hitch and you won't need an adapter.
