2019 Instrument Cluster

Does anyone know if a 2019 RAM 1500 Limited (5th generation) will work in 2014 RAM 1500 that already has a premium cluster? The salvage yard sent me the wrong part, but it's a nice instrument cluster and wanted to check if it would still work without having to send it back.

I highly doubt it. They made a lot of changes for the 5th gen and the 2014's can be pickey enough with some of the upgrades vs other 13-18 years

Try it and let us know! It appears to have the same connector and circuits running it. I bet it’ll work and function. Question is, will it FIT.

I just compared them on eBay. The 5th gen cluster is a different shape. If I were in your shoes, I’d definitely be plugging that thing in to see what happens. The connectors are exactly the same and so are all the circuits in the same position. You’re in a situation that nobody else would be in, being that it fell in your lap rather than taking a chance at buying one “just to try out”. Who knows- if it actually works, someone might be inclined to make a dash adapter for it.
