My dad also can’t program his gate’s code from the fob. No issues with garage codes. Also looking for some assistance. Same truck as me.

I have a 2018 Longhorn. The Doorking programmed fine. I was having issues with the garage door. It finally took. You can call Homelink and they will walk you through it.

Hi Dale0 and iLLeStEyECoN,
If you have not done so already, you may refer to pages 105-109 of your owners manual for the proper steps to connecting HomeLink to your garage. If you follow these steps and your HomeLink is still not connecting, you can give HomeLink a call at 1-800-355-3515. Feel free to contact us as well if you need any assistance with this.

Thanks for the tip regarding contacting Homelink.. The system in my 14 RAM Sport worked really well, but I've been very unimpressed with Homelink in my 19 Rebel.

Sorry to resurface this old thread but I have a question about the Homelink in the 2019's. If somebody breaks into my truck it looks like somebody can open my garage door? With some of my other cars the Homelink only works if the ACC power is on in the car, otherwise the Homelink is dead (no power).

The RAM on the other hand, the Homelink seems to always have power. I don't always park in the garage and live in an area where car break-ins are off the charts. Because of this I just deleted the garage code from my Homelink. I have far too much cool **** in my garage and would hate for somebody to get in by using my garage opener in the middle of the night.

I guess what I am here asking is does the RAM completely power off ALL accessories after a while? I know the garage door opener still worked after letting the truck sit for 5 mins.

HomeLink should not work if the alarm was turned on.

Here’s a pic from the owners manual. Notice the NOTE:
