Do the 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman Classic models have a reputation for faulty automatic transmissions? I noticed 'hard' shifting for the first half-mile of the day and suspected a bad servo and decided to take it to the dealership. 51,000 miles on the vehicle. V-6 engine and I never towed anything with excessive weight. The result was an entire transmission replacement! I was fortunate in that I had extended the factory warranty and it was a cost-free, but have since heard this may be a chronic issue with 2019 models...

Mine 2019 bighorn 3.6 lost the transmission at 41,000. I got a internal trans failure code and got a new transmission also under warranty. I too complained about shifting. Dealer did update. Few months later kept popping out of reverse then wouldn't shift out of first even with code erased

Having similar issues with a 2021 1500 Laramie with eco. Once in heavy stop and go traffic on freeway, 3 times pulling out on to hwy. all since June 1st and about 4-6 weeks apart. Won’t shift up. Rpm jumps but doesn’t up shift. No codes. Have to pull over shift to park then back into drive. Dealer hasn’t been able to replicate. They’ve now had my truck for almost a month with a failed front shock, says they can’t get ahold of mfg (Fox) to get replacement. Asked if they’d checked transmission issue. Response was that they wanted to get shock fixed then would check it.

Scary stuff. I have a 19 B03D171A-06D9-414F-A8CC-68A36E7D19C1.jpegS/C 5.7 that not only gets beat on but tows.I dumped the trans at 10k using a OE pan with amsoil. After the dyno tune(one time) next is the header/duals install and I will have to go through it again. I contacted hemifever to help my vette shop with the trans tune they are not into rams or trucks but I trusted them for 15 yrs.and no matter what happens I’m sticking with the ram.5FE4C01F-AA5B-4C44-97F7-74FA2B8B80E2.jpeg3469DC23-6088-4EEA-94FE-8906478C28D3.jpeg

The transmission replacement seems drastic but I don't think anyone wants to work on transmissions anymore, they just consider them to be a remove and replace item.
