Exactly my opinion as well had I just “ regular bad mileage “ I would grin and bear it. This is some other level **** and the fact no one connected to warrantying the car wants to acknowledge it .. I did find something the fellow who told me to look at ram showed me .. there is a third party arbitration they offer to look at real hinky cases like this where the manufacturer swears nothing is wrong. I guess u agree to accept their findings what ever way it goes Amd Fca agrees Amd they look your truck over. I’m looking into that and lemon law lawyers etc tomorrow

I'm a little late to this party but thought I would jump in anyway. 2020 Limited 5.7 torque with 22's and 3.92. This is my 4th ram. Last was a 14 5.7 Limited with 3.92. That one got over 19 highway the way I drive. In other words, as close as apples to apples you can get with the same drive, same roads, etc. My 2020 got 13-15 highway over same roads, etc. The 202 actually gets better in town MPG (15-17 in town), the 4th Gen got 11-13 in town. My overall avg in the 14 was around 15... the same as it is in the 2020.

Couple of immediate observations. At 65mph with cruise on - the 2020 and the 14 were even at about 21mpg highway. At 75 mph the 2014 would get 19, the 2020 gets 16. At 80 MPH the 2014 would get 17, the 2020 gets 13. At 75mph the 2020 just hits an aerodynamic wall. IT is running hard to get over 75 mph, whereas the 2014 did not. The 2020 is much taller, even in aero mode (both trucks had tonno covers BTW). The 2020 feels like it is affected more by headwinds, etc.

Miles Per Gallon! I have the 2020 Limited with eTorque and I can tell you that like others have mentioned you are trying to track the mileage too soon. I have over 5k and my mileage at 80 with the cruise set is averaging 19 to 20 and when i drive slower at at 73 i see it jump to 22 MPG. The early analysis of MPG had me exactly where you are. FYI I use this winter gas in NC from Costco so I am using 93 Octane....just letting you know which grade of gas I use. BTW I put some pure ethanol free 93 Octane in my truck and I could not believe how smooth and more responsive it was.

Give yourself more time for the mileage to learn your driving style and then you will see better results.

I have a 2020 limited V8 eTorque with 3.21, i do not need the 3.92 and my average is 19mpg, i do about 60-70% highway and 30-40% city. Not bad.

Have a 2018 ecodiesel before and diesel was about 20-21 mpg with same hgw/city %.

I just push my Hemi more because of the feeling with V8, so it is possible I can get same with 2020 if I lower the gaz as I was do with the ecodiesel.

Wow.. Long thread…
I don’t have a 5th gen but from what some people are saying 25mpg on the highway with a 5.7 Hemi.. I’m sorry but I call bs..
Maybe 2WD 3.21 rear with a tailwind going down hill and no weight you’ll get 25mpg.
It’s not mathematically possible. With the motors fuel consumption rate you would never see those numbers.
At best I could see 20-22 and that’s with perfect driving conditions. Add some rain and a bit of a headwind and that’s gonna drop to 18.
It’s a truck motor. It’s design has always been for trucks. My 15 Challenger 6spd could get close to 25 on the highway. Drag coefficient is a lot less then a full size Ram.

My 16 Ecodiesel does better around town than on the highway. I average 19-20 around town with 3.92’s
Highway it will drop to 17-18 @ 70 because of the tall gears.
Granted I have a construction cap and 500lbs of tools in the back.
When I bought it from a dealer 150 miles from me I was getting 27 completely empty on the highway. It had a tonneau cover too.
