My wife and I thought we bought our dream house, brand new with custom stuff, but at the end of a dead end street. As it turned out, every single night adults and kids were in the street like it was disneyland. Man, I hated it, we ended up moving to the country at the top of the hill end of the street, now we don't see anyone 6 mos at a time. I like meeting with like minded people, but I tell you these days there is something radically different then old school people. I say you got to get a feeling for the people that camp next to you, if they are cool then you will have the best time of your life, if they are not like minded, you aren't even safe, bug out.

Yes sir, no doubt. I live at the end of a dead end street, clearly marked NO OUTLET yet still have idioits using my driveway as a public turn around all day long, even ups and fed ex trucks! It's crazy really. They act like its public property and go way on it more than necessary to turn around.

Stuff you don't think about or realize until you live at location for awhile. Of course when I'm working outside they don't hardly go on it to turn around, but when they think no one is watching,...

Same thing happened to us when we bought our last house 28 years ago. Bought brand new and wasn't even built yet, in a court with clear no exit signs. First fifteen years were great, only one family with kids and never saw them. Then it changed, most original owners moved out and within five years it was a **** show. Screaming kids all day and night, loud cars, loud music and constant turn arounds. Couldn't take anymore and sold it after 26 years and moved into our 40' diesel pusher motorhome as a temp solution until I retire in two more years, then it's out of California for a piece of land somewhere. Wherever it is it will big enough to not hear ****!

that is exactly what happened to us, when the economy downturn the houses became affordable and young families moved in. Played hardball in the street, no joking. When we were young we knew better then that. We saw the writing on the wall, soon those kids would become teens, so we dd'd the hell out of there. It was painful to leave that place, but due to the downturn we were able to buy a spot on top of the mountain we would have never been able to afford before. So for us, it worked out. I feel sorry for the retired folks stuck in the middle of that place. I will never buy again on a dead end. I'll take passing cars any day of the week over ball playing ********, lol.
