I have a 2020 Limited 1500 and my HK radio sound is cutting out sometimes. It seems to happen shortly after starting the truck. It sounds like a few speakers stop playing while the others continue to play. Has anyone had this issue with their HK sound systems? I don't know if reporting it to Ram would even be worth it until it does it all the time. Maybe I can record it so the dealership can see what happens. Suggestions anyone?

Any chance that you have a destination loaded on your navigation and have the navigation volume turned right down? That could cause this.

Do you have a phone connected via Bluetooth. Can it be while the phone connects you get that cutout? I get this, along with my phone music playing with the FM radio all at the same time through the HK speakers. This is an intermittent frustration in my truck.

In addition to what Bluesurf said, is this only when you’re playing music from your phone (or any other Bluetooth device) when playing via Bluetooth?

Mine’ll do that from time to time like there’s a bad Bluetooth connection.

If it’s only doing it from that- which I’m pretty sure it is, might wanna try unpairing your phone or whatever from your truck and redo it. Might even be wise to recommend turning your cell data off during the re-pairing process and might even make sure none of your other Bluetooth devices are on as well to ensure a good pairing.

Hi Sam,

We certainly understand why this would be concerning. If you end up addressing this with your dealer, please be sure to let us know via private message. We would be more than happy to connect you with a case specialist for an additional layer of support for that process.

It's with any source. I used navigation today and the voice prompt was coming out the speakers that tend to turn off when this happens. This could be an issue with navigation. I will keep an eye on it.

I dont have the HK system i have the 8 inch radio no nav the radio sucks for a $60,000 truck ive had 3 radios replaced and still have same issue with the sound cutting out at high volume almost sounds like 1/2 the speakers cutting out or like like an amp cutting power and of course dealer cant fix. I said get an engineer to check it out but got nowhere. I like everything about truck except for radio. Its pretty sad when a base 2015 mustang 6 cyl has a better sounding radio than a 2020 $60,000 truck. OH and i forgot the best part because dodge runs the entire vehicle through the radio you cant put and aftermarket stereo system in it:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
