I'm purchasing a 2020 RAM 2500 Hemi Big Horn and can't find a chart with all the towing specifications. I've run the VIN on RAM Trucks but it only gives the max towing (14,553) and payload (3,053). Specifically, I'm looking for the Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating (GCVWR). Any ideas where to find this chart?

Google 2020 RAM 2500 towing chart.

3.73 is 21500
4.10 is 24000

Here is a neat formula to figure this out.

GVWR minus PAYLOAD equals base weight
MAX TOW plus base weight equals GCWR

10000-3053=6947
14553+6947=21500

So your GCWR is 21500 and you have 3.73 gears.

Thanks so much! I tried the "Google" machine every which way but never found it. Also chatted with B&W Hitch folks, but they only had the fifth wheel numbers.

This is for 2021...but it is the same as 2020

Notice. How that max towing number is useless. As it is just base weight from GCWR.

So no driver or hitch. You need both to tow.
Thanks so much. I did find this chart, but it didn't have the Big Horn crew cab numbers...only Mega Cab and Tradesman. Weird.

That chart is great guidance. Check your door for PL and axle weight ratings.

The chart is only for base form in the configuration. All charts will be tradesman trim. Except Mega Cab (bighorn) as it does not come in a tradesman trim.

There are too many options to list anything other than a base truck. You need to understand when reading the charts that every option makes the payload and toeing number come down.

Anything that says Max is a bogus number.

You have all the numbers on your door jamb except GCWR. The only reason to use the chart is to get it. And when dealing with the Hemi...those 2 numbers i gave are it...depending on rear gear ratio.

And I showed you how to do the reverse math.

Best bet yet is to go to a CAT scale and weigh your truck so you have the absolute number...and both axle base lines. As soon as you add even your beverage cup your payload number is off. Add larger tires or side steps. Payload number is off.

Yep. My curb weight is 7027 (2973lbs payload: 10,000-2973 = 7027). When I weighed my truck last year I had a full tank, me, my ~40lb hitch insert, tow mirrors, and tonneau cover. Aside from that pretty much the same as last time I had weighed it and I was at 7380lbs. When I weighed it before the tow mirrors and tonneau cover it was 7240 so it adds up.
