2021 2500HD diesel P0402 code

2021 ram 2500 and my engine light just came on. The code is the EGR. Should I reset and see if that was a fluke or is this more serious and get it into the dealer ASAP?

Also someone shared this document which scares me a bit since they claim the part is $1000 and the EGR is like $3500

The fault is never a fluke. It might be intermittent and not show back up for a little while, but it will show back up.

Follow the troubleshooting tree. I would change the EGR valve since that is a pretty simple job, and see how that goes

I would think the EGR would be covered under the emission warranty, if not covered due to mileage I would shop around for the EGR and not from the local dealer...
