Have under 3000 miles on my new 2021 3500. Going down the road above 50 mph, the hood shakes like it wants to come off. Have slammed the hood many times to insure it’s shut. It still shakes bad. WTF?

I have a 2021 2500 Power Wagon and I see the same thing. I though it was just my imagination.

Here is the fix and your welcome. Applies to 2500, 3500 also not just 1500

Heh....so, there's nothing bonding the hood skin to the frame. Slap some window urethane in there and bada bing, bada boom. done.

Not tea bag.

I've noticed it too...not terrible, but it does it. Summer project now. Not warm enough to do here...

So there's a bulletin, but not a recall? If there is a bulletin then there should at least be warranty work with free rental while your vehicle is in the shop.

That’s not the real issue it’s the new hood design that’s basically just an aluminum thin sheet wrapped around the plastic substructure. It’s super flimsy and it does look like it wants to come off. you’re not gonna fix it unless you replace it with a one piece fiberglass hood.

The hood was redesign to help save weight but they made it super flimsy you can easily see it by opening the hood and bending any of the corners the hood offers almost 0 resistance to flex.

I have a 2019 power wagon that’s outside that bulletin but it still does it.

I kinda wish AEV would come out with a Heat Reduction hood for the 2019+ 2500/3500 trucks. I doubt they'd sell many outside of the full production conversion trucks which is likely why they haven't done one yet.
