I've seen some videos where people have cut the metal to make room for an aftermarket radio, but none of them were a 2021. Mine looks like this, so different from the videos I have seen. I ordered a single DIN HU, and it looks like I could make two cuts (where I drew the white cut lines). Anyone with this configuration have any luck getting a deeper HU to fit?

Another question. Crutchfield recommended the antenna adapter with the blue wire. Is the 2021 Tradesman antenna amplified, or do I not need to connect the blue wire?

I am amazed at all the information I can NOT get for the very question you asked. I also have a 2021 Ram 1500 (new body) Big Horn and can't seem to figure out what to do and whether to go 8.4 factory or go after market. If I go 8.4 do I simply go radio or add other wiring inside the dash. I'm starting to feel so old and out of it. haha
