I have the opportunity to trade in my 2021 5.7 rebel for a 2025 rebel with the hurricane. The new one is a level 2 and old a level 1. 2025 has a ton of options the older does not such as the big screen (new passenger side entertainment screen), pretty much all options. What do you all think about the new rebel vs the older withe engine differences? Thanks for your opinions!!

Personally, I would keep your current rig, the hurricane's in the 2025 is all new, there are all kinds of growing pains, keep in mind Stellantis laid off most of the engineers that designed this engine, management is in the process of replacing the CEO that ran it into the ground, word has it that a new V-8 is in the works, again no replacement for displacement!!

Only you can decide. What's the cost difference?
Miles on the old Rebel?

95% of people buying 1500's don't need V8. Don't fall for that.

Issue with new and old stuff...

My ‘21 only has 21k. It’s a great truck.

I have 21 Rebel as well. Mine has almost all options, not e-torque or all camera's though.
I have more than 130K KM on mine. Bunch of mods and broken things :)

Engine has been in Jeep brands for 2 years now I think. Haven't heard any major issue.

Software wise there are issues. But there are issues with 21 Rebel software. Was on long drive, 3am middle of no-where. None of the controls would work. Couldn't turn off the heated steering wheel/seats.
At least once or twice a month, the backup camera will be black.

Is there big cost difference for the new one? If you can afford it, and want extra options, why not go for it.

All new trucks are crazy expensive. Who would’ve thought we’d be spending almost 100 grand on a truck. I’m still debating. If I get the new one I’ll post a pic.

If yer 21 is close to being paid off, U have it broke in, why would you try and do the gambit on the "new" tech not proven. But if U looking for a Kazillion new options and such, and money no option, hey yer wallet, do what Makes You Happy. If I was jumping, I definitely would go for the Trim Level with the HO motor, not the standard. But I just have a lowly optioned 1st off the line 5th Gen bought in Aug 2018, built April 2018 and only has 25,600 on the clock. FTR, your 21 looks rather nice. But , so what do I know??? All above IMHO only.

I's just a BOIRD...
