Hello I have a 2021 Ram I bought new and the truck has a thumping noise from day 1. It's constant from low speed to 55 or so. Doesn't have to be on a bumpy road, the noise is coming from the back under the bed?
Does anyone else have this problem or any ides as to what it could be.
Thanks,
Jeff

Try rotating the tires rear to front to see if the noise follows. If you think it suspension related, have some bounce up and down in the bed while you lay under the truck. Also check the U-joints and mid-shaft bearing (if the truck has one).

Take the service writer or mechanic on a drive, and let them sort it out.

Don't U just hate not having details in our Avatar ref what type of truck, year, trim that we have. Sometimes really hard to make any type on Internet Guessnosis when U have no clue what someone is operating. Could be a 1500, could be a 2500, LOL.

U thinking an unbalanced tire. Maybe, when being "assembled", the bed of the truck not bolted down properly and the bed actually bouncing on frame? Hmmmm. Guessnosis at it's best.

Thanks all I'll give those ideas a try. I have 9,000 miles on the truck and this thumping noise has been there from day one. Thanks

I have the same truck in 2020 model, Ecodiesel 1/2 ton. I started experiencing the same low frequency thumping sound. Mine started at about 20K miles. The service department says they cannot hear it. Note it is low frequency and not everybody can hear it but I can hear it clearly.
