2022 Ram 1500 Warlock

Hello, I wanted to see if anyone has had the same issues that I have had.

I used to love Rams but I'm so done with my current truck! I bought this truck in May of 2024 with 13k miles on it. That should of been my first red flag.... Since the very first week, this truck has been nothing but issues! Week 1 I was driving down the freeway and the side rail of the bed liner just rips off. Dealership said sorry not our problem... Cool thsnks, moving on. If you so much as sneeze around the truck, it will scratch! The paint is faulty. The Uconnect box has not worked correctly since day one. No matter how many updates the Dealership has done. Has faulty wiring that was rubbing on the metal that caused head light issues ABS and 4 wheel drive issues. Fast forward to now. Truck has 35k on it. During the last year i have had intermittent electrical issues. The SOS alert in the rear view mirror goes off randomly, calling the police, dimmer sensor that controls dash and interior lights when it goes from light to dark has stopped working, driver side window auto doesn't work all the time. Its now burning oil, lots of it! No leaks or smoking...

Oh and FYI ..... don't buy a vehicle at a dealership in the US that was purchased outside of the US! The factory warranty is only good in that country... who new.... not me. My truck apparently came from Canada....

Am I just the unluckiest person or are these issues common?

Hi there, sorry to hear about all your issues. Did you get your Ram from a Ram dealer? I ask because I have the exact same truck and have had zero issues and am in Canada. With all the electrical gremlins you mentioned it almost sounds like a vehicle that was flooded and then refurbed and sold as almost new. You said it’s from Canada, is the speedo in kilometers and are the manufacturer labels in French and English? This will confirm 100% it’s Canadian apart from doing a VIN search.

Further to my last response I just spoke to my friend who owns a Ram dealer where I bought mine and he confirmed FCA does not transfer warranty from Canada to USA. Seems Ford is only one that does that. I know his dealer ships a ton of used Rams to the U.S. as the demand in the U.S. is so high. Usually all lease returns trucks here get sold to US auction house that then get snapped up by US dealers. They really should inform the consumer about the warranty issue as that is not good.

I did get it from a dealership here in the US. They definitely did not disclose the whole warranty and Canada situation until now. One of their big selling points was that it still had a factory warranty.... all the gages seem normal but has import stickers inside the door. This truck had good reviews, seems like i just got a lemon I know i can trade it in but I used a huge chunk of my savings as a down. So I have to wait until I build it back up.

Yep definitely a Canuck truck. That’s too bad you have no recourse in dealer especially after they promoted the warranty as a selling point when it was obviously a false statement.

Yeah, I wish I did! Ill definitely be bringing it up with the manager and leave a review.
