I didn’t want E torque, for the 5th gens I would have to order for what I wanted and E torque is mandatory, and I like the 4th gen body style & saved a few grand.not trying to be snarky or anything but why order a '22 and wait a few months to get it. while others will getting their '23s you will have a one model year older truck for probably the same price..just curious of your line of thinking.
The price goes up pretty quick from the starting price of 43,000 when you select pretty much all the packages and options to almost max it out, the way I ordered mine will be ‘one of a kind’ as most people with classics have it bare to the bones with a v6 high gear ratios and no fancier packages. For what it comes equipped with it is still a lot cheaper vs ford which I would never want anyways, and Chevy which I think the new silverados look stupid.Damn...more than $52k for a Tradesman Classic. That's almost what the MSRP was for the loaded 2020 Laramie I bought new in November of 2019. I'm blown away by the cost of these trucks now.
makes sense. I dont want one with that eitherI didn’t want E torque, for the 5th gens I would have to order for what I wanted and E torque is mandatory, and I like the 4th gen body style & saved a few grand.
I feel like if you ever were in a bind finding and installing a traditional alternator on the side of the road would be a lot easier as well, and cheaper! If I wanted hybrid technology I would buy a Prius.makes sense. I dont want one with that either
Omg that gave me a good laugh because it’s probably true. I just realized these things even have electronic power steering. That’s new to me now.yas..I'm old so I remember when you could get a new alternator at Chief auto supply for 39.95 and R&R one in about 15 minutes..even a new starter motor was no big deal..just dirtier. check the starter solenoid by shorting a screw driver across it. nowadays that would probably fry the ECM or main motherboard or something costing a couple thousand to fix.
