2023 Ram 1500 Orders

Those delivery times were PRE Covid

Now a lot of people don't need to work, part time jobs, over time, or have both man & wife working
all those Federal Assistance Checks, changed peoples life styles.
California has also been passing out assistance checks.
Hell, i got enough assistance checks to pay for the Commercial Automobile Insurance on my Ram, almost $6,000 a year !
I am single & retired, just think about people that are married & have at least one child.
The checks that they got would buy a car !

I got an email update from RAM today.

“We’re happy to share that your Ram 1500 is in our production queue. We will notify you once your vehicle has started the assembly process. Depending on manufacturing lead times, your vehicle may take longer to begin this step. We appreciate your patience and will keep you updated throughout the process”
I checked tracker and it says scheduled but delivery date still shows as TBD

What this means ? is it in D1 status ?

I received the same email today, ordered mine 10/26/22. I'm not sure what it means but at least its something for now!

Somewhere between C & D1 ? D1- is scheduled, vs this email wording makes it sound like the configuration has been added to a production queue. When picked from the queue to go into production it goes into D1. That would be my understanding.

C	ORDER CONFIRMED	Your order has been received, and your vehicle will be scheduled soon to move into production.
D1	SCHEDULED	Your order has been scheduled for assembly.
E	IN PRODUCTION	Factory technicians are currently building your vehicle. Once assembly is complete, your vehicle will be prepared for shipping.
KZ	VEHICLE BUILT	Your vehicle has been built and will soon be shipped to your selected dealership.
KZM	VEHICLE SHIPPED	Your vehicle has been shipped and on its way to your selected dealership.
KZL	VEHICLE SHIPPED	Your vehicle has been shipped and is on its way to your selected dealership.
KZX	VEHICLE DELIVERED	Your vehicle has been delivered to the dealership you selected. Please contact the dealership for further information.

Nothing yet on my order. Did y'all order Ram Rebels by chance? Mine was a Rebel and I ordered on Sept. 5th.

You may not have got the email. You need to explicitly sign up for the email notifications. I can't remember where I did that.

Regardless of what this update means.. at least it brings back optimism about getting the truck in 2023 and not 2024!

Placed an order at my dealership for a 2023 ram 1500 laramie on 11/12/22 how long until I get a VON number from ram?

Usually a VON comes within 7 work days, no more than 10 work days

BUT !!
Dealers are allotted X amount of Ram Orders per month

IF they had already filled their Allotment for November, your order will be part of the December allotment

Status D1 is also called GATEWAY
It means your Ram has been given a Build Date & Time
On that Date, your Ram changes from Paperwork to Metalwork
The Frame is laid on the conveyor belt, then 30 work hours later, they drive it off the Assembly Line

Just got an update from dealership saying the truck should leave the plant by mid December and I should expect delivery in Jan.
