Is there a setting for this that I’m missing? I’ve combed through all Bluetooth/Audio settings and had no luck outside of having to silence my phone. It’s driving me bonkers.

Every time I’m listening to music and get a notification, or send a text while connected via CarPlay, the music cuts off from the front speakers in the truck and plays in the rear only along with the text or notification noise. Takes 2-3 seconds for the front speakers to come back on and all speakers to resume playing full volume.

The fact that it just cuts the volume on the front speakers while playing from the rear is so odd and honestly is super annoying. It ruins anything I’m trying to listen to when I’m receiving texts or notifications as it’s just constantly cutting out.

Outside of having to silence notifications on your phone or inside CarPlay app, does anyone know how to make this stop?

You could try preventing access to anything other than calls in the Uconnect system. But your best bet is turn off push notifications in your phone settings.
