So Ram is recommending a brake flush of my 1500 at 20k miles? That seems kind of low to me. What do you all think?

I do what ever they say needs to be done within a reasonable amount of time. If something does go wrong then they may not be as obliged to cover it under warranty because you "didn't keep up" with the service schedule.
Same reason I let them change my oil.

I always ask them to point it out in the manual. Nine times out of ten I then hear them say it is in the manual at xx,000 miles but they recommend doing it earlier.

There is a huge difference between what’s in the manual and what the dealer “recommends” and that difference is the thickness of your wallet.

Dot 3 brake fluid is a hydroscopic polyglycol. It's change interval should be defined defined in years, not miles.

2-3 years is good rule of thumb. Brakes will begin to feel spongy (air entrained in moisture absorbed) and rust will start developing.
