20x10 -19 wheel poke

I'm looking at this size wheel for my 2022 Classic Ram 1500 4x4. I have the stock 20x8 wheels with +19 offset and going to a 20x10 with -19 offset. Here is my math. A +19 to -19 will push the same size wheel out 1/2", then going from a 8" wide to 10" wide will push out the wheel another 2". So going from a 20x8 +19 to a 20x10 -19 will push out my wheel out 2 1/2" more than my stock set up. Correct?? Then have to add for tire width difference cut in half for total poke. Pictures of this set-up showing poke would be great, as I'm thinking it might be too much. TIA

I think your wheel will push out about another inch besides the offset change poke.

Remember, there's two sides to each wheel, the inside and the outside. Given that the total width distance is 10", if the center section is truly dead center between the barrel, it would be an even split of the total additional width.

Here's a good site to help you visualize and check measurements for wheel sizes, including width and diameter, with offsets calculated as well. You can also add a tire size and compare what you have with what you may put on the truck.

So your thinking a total of 1 1/2", because I get to split the 2" in rim width difference in half?

It depends on where the center section is. The position of that section in the wheel barrel, where the wheel bolts through to the lugs and over the hub, varies depending on the offset.

According to that site you were correct at 2.5" more poke then stock, then there's the tire adding to that. Stock is 8 wide with 5.25 backspacing, 10 wide with -19 is 4.75 backspacing so thats a ½" more poke and add the extra 2 for 10" wide wheel

Thanks for the replies. Think is a little too much poke for me, I'll stick with 9" wide and 0 offset. Had 18x9 0 ET wheels on the 2011 I had and 285/65/18 tires and liked the look.

I'm running 20x10 -19 and it sits pretty flush with my fender flares that claim 2 inches of extra coverage.

LuaU_Pig... any chance you can take a pick of a straight edge on your tires measureing back to you flares... ? Stock RAM flares on your ride ?
I am in the same boat.. i have a 2014 Laramie..and i am restling with wheel size also worried about TOO much "poke"

*** also to everyone a good rule of thumb is to take your tire size, divide in half, and then add the offset.. this will tell you how much poke you have.
most of the rams have either 20 X 8 or 20 x 9 wheels.. this doesn't matter whether 8 0r 9"... all you need to know is that the stock +19 offset essentially moves the rim 19 MM oR .70 inches IN TOWARD the truck.. so the 275 tire = 10.8" wide... so HALF of that 5.4".. then move that IN TOWARDS the truck .70" , so thats 4.7" of "POKE from the hub. You can't say a 20 X 10 wheels with -19 offset and get the FULL answer... what if you are ruuning an 11.5 tire? or 12.5" tire or 13.5 inch tire? all possible with a 10" rim. i WILL say A COMMON application is the 12.5" tire... so THAT tire on a 20x10 -19 would be ... HALF of 12.5", so 6.25" push AWAY form the truck 19 mm OR .70 inches.. so 6.95 inches of "poke" or 2.25" MORE than stock...
