24 Ram 2500 Limited Aux Switches with trailer steering

New Ram owner here. Bought a 2024 2500 Limited that I was told by my dealer that I could easily add upfitter switches and the truck was built with the switch prep and controller. Found out 6 months in that is not the case when you have the tow tech group with the trailer steering control. Really pissed. Anyone know what is actually in this truck as far as working, relays, etc. If I can’t add the factory switches what are my options for locating switches and is the actual wiring already behind the dash? Appreciate any insight…..

You only have two options:
1) swap in the factory aux switch bank, which will force you to lose the trailer reverse steering control feature.
2) use an aftermarket aux switch setup.

As far as what wiring and relays are present on your truck, open up your aux fuse box under the hood, and tell us what is there for relays and fuses. Is the aux fuse box fully populated with relays and fuses, or are there only three of each?

Only three of each in there. Does that mean the wiring isn’t really there even though it’s supposed to be or I just need to add the relays and fuses? Totally stupid on Rams part. How many buy a 2500 and don’t want to add or use aux switches for something? Don’t really want to lose the feature of the trailer steering even if I’ll probably never use it.

So what do you get when you pay for the switch prep and upfitter electronic module? Worst part is dealer told me I just had to add the switches and it’s easy……

I don't know beans about AUX. Wiring

It goes into detail, he has a 2021 Ram
