You should have got the Flowmaster direct fit replacement muffler. It's $16 more than your magnaflow and has no drone ever, even when MDS kicks in.
makes me feel a little better when it MAY possibly be to loud for some people. after all .... I had a short cherry bomb on a 1992 explorer and that thing was drony as hell and I liked it. the mufflex is such an simple install I may just roll the dice on it vs trying to find someone that can work on my truck for a reasonable price. places in my town seem expensive.
thanks for all the comments guys.
Yes HD50
But the direct fit is only for the 1500s. My bad.
Yes correct as you can see in my pictures above.BUT.. (question)
the offset distance on the mufflers inlet and outlet may be the same on the HD trucks stock muffler as it is on the Flowmaster 50HD. so all you may need is a straight pipe extension instead of doing any bending
is this correct?
well after watching as many videos as i can find of a 6.4 and a 5.7 hemi with the Flowmaster 50HD and the mufflex/magnaflow setup.....
I like the sound of the flowmaster more.
