Just got a 2012 ram 2500 and I'm realizing that I'm going to need some nerf bars / step rails. I've been out of the loop on stuff like this for awhile. Are there brands to stay away from? Any that someone can highly recommend? Dealer wanted an arm and a led for the factory ones.

Anyone like the Westins? Do they rust? Worth getting the stainless steel?

use the part number and search google shopping. When I did it amazon came up the cheapest when you included shipping.

I've got Nasta stainless bars on my truck.. my last truck had Westins and they rusted within 3 years.. The Nasta's are 100% stainless (brackets/bolts/everything!).. I have the cablength ones, and they are great. :)

Grrr, I can't find what I want! I've got a crew cab, I want stainless steel so they won't rust but I want black in a 3" round tube.

I found DeeZee in aluminum and black, but they are 5" oval.

I've seen and like the 3" round! Does it not exist in black and in stainless or aluminum?

Nfab wheel to wheel with bed access step on my 07 and love them!! The bed step is awesome for accessing the tool box. Also had them linex'd so i don't have to worry about them rusting, plus it gives them some grip

I just realized that Nasta doesn't have anything for Dodge/Ram beyond 3rd Generation... too bad... They've got a black SS set but I don't think things will line up for your truck.

The only reviews i could find on the Deezee both say they flex and the reviewer weighed less then me. That's a no go.

Now I'm looking at the Nfabs but want to see one in person before dropping $500. Will go for a walk at work and check the parking lot. Nice thing about working at a really big company!

Anyone ever hear of nfabs rusting?

I didn't think this would be so tough. I might just have to live with chromed stainless...

Thanks for all the help!

If it's not much trouble that would be great. I did find a Ford with Nfabs on in the parking lot and I liked what I saw. it was wheel to wheel but no third step for the bed.

On top of looking great and helping my wife get in the truck I was hoping it would be a little defense against door dings too. Also, I like the wheel to wheel as I'm getting a cap with a roof rack and plan to put kayaks up there. The third step will come in handy.

Do they attach to the frame? How far to the rungs stick out? Do they become low spots on the truck for off roading?
