What's the difference between 4x4 and 2WD lift kits?

From what I can tell there isn't a difference and I've been looking all over. I really just want to make sure it's all the same before I buy a 4x4 kit for my 2WD and run into issues.

Yea two different things bud. I also have a 2WD. I decided just to level my front end. I got the Mevotech Upper Control Arms (the stock ones have ball joint issues they say) for under $100 shipped and then a 2.5 inch front level from topgun customs for $75 (you can find the part on ebay and then call them). Was thinking about a 4 inch lift, but it would be pointless.

HUGE difference man. Look at Maxtrac for all your 2wd needs..they have lifts for any size
