Sounds like you have a great truck.

The most reliable truck I have owned so far is a 2007 F150 XLT with the 4.6. It is still in the family and at 120k miles has never had any warranty work or failures. It has never been back to the dealer either. Purely normal wear and tear and scheduled maintenance.

I wish I could say that for the 2015 and 2017 F150s I owned before getting the 2018 RAM that landed me here.

The 15 had a catastrophic engine failure AT 23K and the 17 had a broken door handle and a failed sunroof track. The 17 only had 32k when I got rid of it. The 17 also had an occasional grinding in the front hubs while turning. Another known issue with the aluminum body F150s.

There are a ton of F150 threads about the dual pane sunroof failures and leaks, as well as leaks in the rear window slider. I kind of lost faith in the longevity of it and that was a big part of my decision to try a RAM for a change.

I hope I have as good of luck as you have had with the RAM.

Gratz! My 02 Chevy Silverado 5.3 1500, I sold it with 214k on it, I bought it used with 70k, and pulled the “ plastic bed liner to find 5thwheel holes in the bed” and at 100k it lost 1 solenoid in the tranny, “ I wonder why lol” only problem I ever had with that truck, every now and then we get a cherry and not a lemon lol-

Taking it in for the exhaust manifold issue... so over all, nothing major. And in another 15k miles, headers will be going on!
