My 2014 Durango with the 3.6 had to have lifters and cams replaced at 101k miles. Outside of warranty, out of pocket. Was not happy about that.

At 125k, the radiator began leaking. Bad design, prone to fail due to the inlet and outlet both being made of plastic.

At 150k, the oil cooler failed. Bad design, prone to fail due to being made, again, largely from plastic.

I bought this specific engine because in my experiences and research, this seemed to be the safest bet in a full sized truck.

I did read about the possible rocker problems before I purchased, and decided to take a chance. I want no part of cylinder deactivation, twin turbos, or direct injection.
Thats exactly what I did too.

I have a 2012 charger with a 3.6/8 speed. 190k. No issues. Also have a 2018 Ram with a 3.6/ 8 speed. Tow a camper, has 95k on it. Again, no issues at all.
