So did anyone on this list ever own a Chevy 350 during the 1980s and tow with it ?

Yes stock (except for exhaust) 1989 Chevy K1500 4x4, unknown rear, 4 speed auto.
Pulled a 6700lb gvwr 1987 wilderness Yukon 25C all over and into the mountains of PA.

She worked hard on the big grades as that 25C was a basement model and quite tall, but man with the exhaust I had on it sounded good pulling the big grades at 4k rpm. She would get up over 210 degrees near the top of the grades but didn't miss a beat.

I still miss that Chevy. I really liked that generation of GM trucks.

Me too, and my Pentastar puts more torque to the pavement.
