35” tire on 20” -12mm offset rim rubs driver side (pics)

Hope everyone and their families are doing well. I couldn’t wait to put on my wheels (Asanti Warthogs 20x9 -12mm offset) and tires (Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 295/65r20 = 35.1”x11.8) on my truck. I have a 2.5” level kit so did not think twice about rubbing issues but got a nasty noise when I turned left full lock. Jumped out and saw the above picture. Major issue was the piece of the fender flare that sticks out. I dremeled out the piece so no issues. Passenger side barely touches (strange) so no issues there. Overall happy with the combo. Much more aggressive stance. Tires stick out for 1.5” past the flares so it’s not too aggressive.

I had to do same. I have 18x9, 0 offset on 35x12.50r18 ridge grappler. They also rub on full lock. I took a razor blade, foam, and black spray can.

Just recently upgraded as well. Also had to do some minor trimming to get rid of the rub. Well worth it!

The difference in stance is amazing with the aftermarket wheels. The conservative 5.76” factory backspace makes the truck look like it skipped leg day at the gym!
