Well....getting my truck cleaned the best that I can do after this winter and heavy rains as of late, I noticed that my rims have certain spots that look like some type of oxidation and spots that look like impact marks on the wheel. I need to get some pictures of what I'm talking about. I haven't hit any curbs or anything like that. Maybe a rock got kicked up and caused the damage.

Not liking the prospect of having to repair these. Some of what I don't like is when the new tires were put on, the old spots where the wheel weights were looked like they are corroded.

Am I going to have to sand and polish these spots to get them so they are not noticeable, or am I better off letting a professional have a go at them?

the wheels have a clear coating i would not recommend sanding. might be better if using some paint polish.

I do not know what the best way to get these imperfections out. I am kinda stuck on this one.

Looks like imperfections I'm the aluminum or clear coat. Aluminum does not rust but it will corrode. That looks like aluminum corrosion and it might not be fixable

Good luck. I would see if I could get them covered under the bumper to bumper warranty lol. They are corroding already and it will spread if it is really corrosion.
