Hello I’m new to the forum I just have a question. I currently have 37x13.50x20 with a 6” lift on my 2014 1500 big horn and I haven’t had any issues but someone came up to me and told me that they are too big for my truck and can ruin the axel and hub barrens. I’m worried now. It’s not a daily but I got the tires from a friend so I didn’t hesitate to put them on and I just ordered new ones for my truck. Should I get 35’s instead I’m just worried i will hate the way it looks because I’m so use to the 37’s

The rear should be strong enough for 37's without much issues, (Chrysler /ZF 9.25" 31 spline) don't know about the IFS and all front components (hub bearings, tie rods etc) but i think it should be ok unless you're into rock crawling competition :)

Ah okay cool he was telling me that 37’s are meant for 2500 plus trucks or diesel that can handle the pull of the tires and I’m going to regret it later on down the road. So now I’m think if I should get 35’s....Nice truck by the way!!

@ram1500rsm yeah I’m not doing any crazy rock crawling! Just some dirt roads and a little off roading here and there but mostly sand for the beaches here

You can run em they’re right. But in time yeah it will wear some stuff out. Just depends on how you use it. That said bigger tires wear out the hubs on 2500 also. That’s the price we pay hahaha

Absolutely did. I regeared to 5.35s but am going up to 45s and will probably regear to 6.13s
EDIT: Sorry just realized this was the 4th gen section. I own a 2500 PW 4th gen. That 1500 mentioned earlier was for a straight axle 2nd gen 1500. I have only owned one IFS truck and that was in the 3rd gen. Sorry for the confusion :)

No problem! I actually just took a Cummins out of my 2500 and put a 360 in instead. I personally wouldn't run anything over 35 on a 1500 if I plan to off-road.
