4.7 Exhaust shopping list

Okay here we go, I'm replacing the exhaust system front to back on my 05 QC 4.7 1500 4x4. Please let me know if im forgetting something, i plan on trying to reuse the original catalytic converters to save some money if possible. Im gonna have the pipes fabbed up at the local exhaust shop. here is the shopping list that I got so far:

Headers; JBA Cat4wards Stainless $360.00

Exhaust Ball Flanges from Summit Racing; $12.00


Magnaflow Y-pipe form Summit Racing; $30.00

Summit Stainless Band Clamps x2; $15.00


Mopar Header Gaskets; $33.00

Stage 8 locking header bolts; $45.00

Flowtech Glasspack; $17.00 (already have)

Finally some of the parts are here;

What is this little tube for on the RH header?

Why is there slits by the bolt holes only on the left header, but not the right side?

Hmm...that is a good question! Hopefully someone will chime in! I have not seen a set of headers on a 4.7 myself. It's on my to do list.

Went and painted the headers, and baked them.. BTW, the house did not smell like cookies after baking the headers.

Nah i didnt need to, the fumes from baking it made me high enough.
