I have a 2013 tradesman standard cab with 4.7L. After I hit 75k miles it has a odd tick on start up but goes away after 5-10 seconds. Secondly it has the basic Uconnect 3.0 radio. Nothing special. But I keep hearing a noise like it has a Dang CD player. Anyone have an idea where it could be or what it could be. Third after doing alot of hauling with this truck I decided to put a gooseneck hitch in it. For those of you who haul with your 1500 let me tell you this. The gooseneck has been the best idea yet. Haul heavier loads alot easier and actually save on fuel and tire wear. I did add a air haul 5000 kit with it.

Why would you gooseneck a 4.7? Bad choice if you are going heavy, like 2500 pounds less then a hemi. here's your tow guide. What gears do you have? The best you can do it 7500 pounds, if you have 3.92's. It's a big commitment having a gooseneck when you can probably only tow 6200 pounds, just say'n.

I mean no disrespect, just say'n if you haul as often as me, go get a Hemi.

Hemi tick can be solved with high moly oil if it is lifter tick, or fixing exhuast bolts.

If it goes away after startup its probably the lifters.
