This is one of the things I miss about my 1500 tradesman, it had a 7 speed hvac fan control. My new 2018 ram 2500 I just picked up also is a tradesman with manual 4x4 transfer case on the floor, has a 4 speed fan control. What does it take to convert 4 to 7 speed? I'm not looking to change my radio screen size.

Do a forum search, I remember this came up before and all it boiled down to was IIRC is a p# difference, literally plug and play with the other style.

Check out M2 Mods in the vendor section. Converting to 7 speed is part of the 8.4 upgrade. I did my 15 with the addition of auto temp control sensor harness from @Mpgrimm2 it was a fairly easy project.

I'll do a search here shortly, so that 8.4 upgrade involve new blend air door or anything behind the dash?

No. Single zone ATC doesn’t require messing with the blend doors.

There is a thread for doing the dual zone ATC conversion. It is quite involved requiring the replacement of the heater box.

No the single version sounds more simple. Haha
