What the difference and how do you know what you have? Was reading through H&S manual and it said the 06 had(I assumed some) the 48RFE..... I figure this would be good to know! Thanks!

I'm not so good with automatic trans but I think the big difference is te rfe has a an external screw on filter
Esai or Matt will have a much better answer for you

I really assumed that the 5.9 only had the RE then the 6.7 got the RFE but H&S has me wondering. And I figure before I go buying any transmissions I better make sure I know what I got.

No such thing! It's a typo.. I guess they thought it was called the 48rfe because the 6.7 trans is called the 68rfe

oh okay so the 5.9 got the 48RE and the 6.7 got 68RFE being a six speed and all right? So for what trans does H&S have tuning with the mini maxx?

Exactly and early 2003 CR 5.9 has the 47re. Get the Overdrive software for the 5.9! It's awesome! It'll buy your trans some time lol

its like 100 extra right? Dave can I still go through you on that or does it come only right form HS?

Only issue ive notice so far is my TC spins really really bad with anything more then normal easy driving.

I'm sure it doesn't help that you're rolling on those 37's lol. I know my dads converter was slipping allll over the place on the wild tuning...

I think it's only through H&S because they need your VIN and email

I take it you have the overdrive then? Did you run the tuner with and without it? What did you notice?

I ran a few days without and I like it a lot more than stock. It locks the converter in 3rd and will hold it through 4th if you keep your foot on it, which is perfect for racing... I felt the shifts were a lot firmer and lock in 4th is at around 45mph instead of 50mph under light throttle.. which is nice when going for mpg's and a cooler trans

To be honest, if you plan on getting your trans within the next month or two (taking it easy) and you don't plan on drag racing, I wouldn't drop the $100 for the trans tune lol

ive been taking it easy since the first time my TC spun. Its all been on the smarty 60hp tune. Im trying to save for a new trans. Things keep nipping at the funds so its hard to say when for sure it would happen. Could be one month, two month, or more. No idea. wouldent the tune still help the aftermarket trans?

I'm really not sure? The only real change on a beefed trans would be the early TC lock, which is something more for racing or towing up a hill. That'd be something to ask those H&S guys though... I'd ask but I'm sure they're tired of me with all the questions I had :roflsquared:
