So i'm watching a set of 2014 20" hemi wheels on ebay, and was wondering if they will fit my 2nd gen ram 1500? i'm assuming i should only need lug nuts.

I am 95 % positive 4th gens wheels have a 5 lug pattern with 5.5 spacing, should match up if 2nd gens are the same.

i know the lug patters are the same, i was more curious towards the backspacing, and if the wheels are hubcentric or lugcentric.

also the 2nd gen uses a 1/2" stud, while the 4th gen uses a 9/16" so the holes on the wheel are bigger.

i've seen pictures of those rims on a 2nd gen before, and i'd love them with my 2.5" lift

Not sure if your truck is a 4x4 or 2wd as this can make a difference. 3rd or 4th gen 20's will bolt right up on the 4x4 trucks but will need spacers for 2wd. I know from experience since I had to get 1.25" spacers to get the 20's on my 98 2wd.

As far as the difference in the lugs no need to worry about that. I used my original lugnuts and have been running them that way for 4 years now with absolutely problems.

Edit: Just noticed you have a 01 so you won't actually need spacers either way since dodge changed the fonrt hubs on the 99-01 trucks which lets the newer 20's straight bolt on for both 2wd and 4x4 for anything newer than 99

^In her defense, they do include tires that are in pretty good shape. That's under $200 a wheel/tire.

WOW $700+ for stock wheels, you better like them a whole bunch!! Do you have the backspace/offset for the stock 2nd gen wheels? If not see the link below.

Dodge Ram Specifications

i do like them. I'm not a fan of aftermarket equipment. i think $700-$1000 is a good price range for those wheels with the tires.

my wheels are not listed on that list. i have the 2000-2001 factory 16" aluminums

If you've got the 3 spoke swirly wheels they're the same as the 94-99 wheels that I know of.

$700 for stock 20's WITH tires that actually isnt a bad deal. I've yet to see that style 20 for less than $1000 WITHOUT tires around my area.

I think most people think these things are made from gold or something by alot of the prices I've seen for them.

I gotta pay more attention to truck years, yep that info is not listed there. Might be good of you to post it when you change wheels over.

those 20's are generally expensive because they are only at most, 5 years old and are only available on the fully loaded hemi models. so availability is low for a few years.

Ya I know what you mean. When I bought mine it was the same way. The style I got is finally starting to drop in price some now but there is still the odd set I see people trying to get crazy money for.

I agree about the aftermarket rims to. Ive seen very, very few that I like enough to consider putting on my truck. I like the look of alot of them just dont think they would suit my truck or style.

agreed. i see way too many of the boys running around with the rockstar rims, or crager knock offs. i'd rather have an oem wheel that looks nice and modern. plus with the 20, i can upgrade to a 35x12.5 for it in the future
