I love the 5th gens and want one really bad but my 4th gen is almost paid for and traded in my last 4th gen for another one bc of mileage and needing a trans plus lost a cylinder had the last one paid for 2 weeks later traded it in for the new one I wont do that again being I want to bag it but doing a front end swap with the tesla style radio makes it almost like the 5th gen so I'm interested in doing this for sure for sure

I think RAM has done a nice job re-thinking the truck all together, but" I've always loved the body lines of the 4th gen trucks.
The front and rear have changed quite a bit over the years, and models, and everyone has different tastes, over all I think its great to manipulate and change things up a bit, their are a lot of RAM'S on the road and most of them here in New-England all look priety much the same. So I thought I might through a lot of RAM owners off a bit and change mine up a somewhat. This is a 2014 RAM Bighorn with very few amenities and over a 5 year period I changed it quite a bit. I put in cab lights you would find on a 2500 including a 4" lift, a Rebel front grill W/ 2019 style headlights a sport hood tow haul mirrors with working steady-on and directional lighting and puddle lights, I redesigned the interior completely to resemble a sport, & Laramie, along with many other mods.
So! I do believe in serious modding when it comes to these trucks.
Remember we only go around once in life" do great and fun things with it every so often. :)

It's been done. It was for sale not long ago down in Texas.

I did the headlight swap on mine, but would love to do a complete front end conversion. I love the look of the 5th Gen 2500/3500.

Going to throw in my nickels worth here, co worker just bought a 21 2500 HD cclb 5th gen front end.
I have 16 2500 HD cclb, so we parked them side by side and gave them a good going over. And what we can tell is the chassis is the same, the cab, doors, bed, suspension, the seats.
What we can tell what has been changed is the dash (should be able to put into 4th gen) we think the interior should be able to be swapped with little to no modification.
Obviously rear bumper is different, but they may have changed the rear bumper mounts and front mounts as well. The front sheet metal should bolt up with out to much hassle as far as we could see, the body lines are identical on the fenders, the hood has changed (I like his better) but should bolt up as long as you change the whole front clip.
So between 4th & 5th gen 2500 HD's these trucks are alot closer to each other than we realize.
Oh, forgot the most important thing, I have a 5.7 and his is a 6.4 with a 50 GALLON gasoline fuel tank, yes you read it right, no I did not typo. The tank straps are identical and mounts in the same spot. I am now on the hunt for this tank.
