I bought my 98 ram 1500 SLT back in February. About a month later I tried to engage 4WD and it took me about 45 minutes to disengage. When it was in 4WD it was unmanageable, shaking uncontrollably and sounded like it was grinding. I know the truck was lifted by previous owner but not sure how much. Can't get in touch with him, I was told that lifting a truck will screw up 4WD. Is there anything that can be done to make it work properly again?
