Does anyone know what the difference is between the two? Looking at a 2/4 for a 4x4 are hard to come by. Can’t a 2wd kit be used on a 4wd? Isn’t it just shocks and springs?

Thanks guys. Recommendations welcome

No they cannot be interchanged well at least the front anyways. The 2WD versions use a coil spring with a separate shock location where as the 4WD and a coil spring strut combination.

Ground Force and Belltech both make a 2/4 lowering kit for the 4X4's,and if you want to go really low there's Inez's kit. There's also an outfit building drop struts for the 4X4's,but I forget their name.

There are a few different kits out there for us 4WD guys from Belltech, Ground Force and Inez Hot Rods. The Inez kit is a 4/6 kit but you should be able to adapt it to get a 2/4. On there kit they cut down the a standard 4 inch drop coil to achieve a 6 inch drop. I am sure you could get a set of Bilstiens or belltech street performance Struts up front and set them up a notch or two to get a 2 or 3 inch drop vice the 4.

I went with GF 2" fronts and Belltech 4" rear's .... But I've seen Belltech recently put out a complete 2/4 kit... The Part #: 965SP .. I don't know if anyone here has installed it yet though.

I've had no issue with my current 2/4 setup but I'm going to (I keep saying this) grab some lift/lower struts and machine a drop groove of an inch in them so I have a 3/4. I think that'll be sitting right, if I don't skip it all for a 19 Limited in the spring. Couple months to wait yet.

Thats interesting.. They've been out for GM guys for a while, but the Dodge options are only 0" - 2" lift only. Did they give you any timeline at all?
