No OD any way I do it, cruise or manually shifting, in 2000 they changed the solinoid for the 46re, so I have to get a new OD/tcc solinoid for it, my 99 will work up to 99 but donor truck was a late 2000, good news is if I want to I can put a 48re behind the 5.9 it will bolt straight up and all electronics will work, its a diesel tranny but it would be Heller strong

48re will NOT bolt up to a magnum in any sort of fashion. The v8s and the diesels have completely different bellhousings. V10 has the same pattern as diesel. The INTERNALS of the 48re are able to be used in a 46re but not the trans itself

Im starting a project of converting my Dakota 3.9 to a 5.2 and wanted to know if a 5.9 engine wiring harness off of a 2000 4X4 Durango would work on a 5.2 .... The Dakota is a 4X2 and I plan to upgrade to the bigger trans 46RE as well but still keep it as a 4X2( it now has the smaller trans the 42RE now and its seen a lot of use). Just trying to round up parts while staying within budget but dont want to get caught in the possible change over in 99 to 2000. I think the pcm I have is for a 1999 as well

This is a two year old thread. You might consider starting a new one for your specific issue.
