Hi I'm new here and I have a 2008 chrysler aspen 5.7 hemi which has no compression in both cylinders closest to the firewall (1each side) and has tremendous base pressure (blew off oil cap that was tight) remaining cylinders within 30% my question is what would cause this, and will a 5.7 out of a Ram bolt in? Thanks

Blow by is caused by worn piston rings leaking compression into the crankcase, 2 other bad cylinders W/ no compression not good, do a wet compression test, squirt 2-3 pumps of engine oil into spark plug hole and see if compression increases in those 2 other cylinders, also could be a valve problem in those 2 cylinders also, I would do a leak down test to check the condition of the engine block, also those and the Volare usually had slant 6cyl engines.

The Aspen the OP has is the Chrysler version of the Durango, not the F-body variant that your referring to. Also the slant-6 engine production stopped about 20 years prior to the OP's Aspen and was never an option for a Durango.
