Hi

I’m reading up on my new truck and I noticed that it has a 4 position transfer case switch instead of a 5 position switch.

It looks like there’s an option to have a auto transfer case which automatically under certain conditions pushes power to both the front and rear wheels. Similar to AWD.

Can this be added on?

Besides finding a 5 position switch at a scrap yard what other components are involved?

Thanks for the help

The transfer cases are different. Also not sure if there would be computer complications as well if you tried to switch

I was worried about that.

I guess that’s the same answer regarding the towing /overdrive switch on the column gear shift selector?.

I’m not entirely sure about adding tow mode as all that is is the computer uping the shift points
